Sai Ghose plays the piano with fierce intensity and sensitive touch. His funky rhythms and beautiful melodicisms can be found on the four CDs he’s led and recorded for Summit Records. Each CD garnered much praise in publications like JazzTimes, Allaboutjazz and Cadence and received strong national radio play, with all four reaching the “Top 50 Radio Chart” for over 30 weeks combined. Sai has performed locally at almost every jazz club in the Boston area including regular appearances at Sculler’s, Ryle’s, Acton Jazz Café and The Natick Center for the Arts. He has also played across the country at clubs including Yoshi’s, in Oakland, Nighttown in Cleveland, and the Berkshire Jazz Festival. Sai is in demand as an educator. He has sent students off to the New School, Berklee College of Music, Oberlin, USC, NYU to name a few. Sai teaches at Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA and also works with adults and high school students privately. For two weeks every summer, Sai directs a “Jazz Workshop,” in Concord, MA.
